The Flu Engage extension collects and stores the following information locally on your device:
- Telegram User ID: Used to identify your account and credit seeds for engagements.
- X (Twitter) Handle: Used to verify your likes and comments on posts.
This information is stored locally using Chrome's storage API and is only sent to our servers when you click "Verify" to confirm an engagement.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used solely to:
- Fetch available posts for you to engage with
- Verify that you have liked and commented on posts
- Credit seeds (rewards) to your Flu account
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Your X handle is sent to TweetScout API solely for the purpose of verifying your engagement (like + comment) on posts. No other data is shared with third parties.
4. Data Storage & Security
- Your Telegram ID and X handle are stored locally on your device using Chrome's secure storage API.
- Data transmitted to our servers is sent over HTTPS (encrypted connection).
- We do not store your X handle on our servers after verification is complete.
5. Permissions Used
The extension requires the following permissions:
- storage: To save your Telegram ID and X handle locally.
- tabs: To open tweet links in your current tab when you click "Engage".
- host_permissions (flu.social): To communicate with our API for fetching posts and verifying engagements.
6. Your Rights
You can:
- Clear your stored data at any time by removing the extension
- Request deletion of your account data by contacting us
- Choose not to use the extension without any penalty
7. Children's Privacy
This extension is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
